BABYLON BERLIN IN CONCERT

For the first time, the distinctive soundtrack of the series “Babylon Berlin” was staged and interpreted live – with the Baltic Sea Philharmonic under the musical direction of Johnny Klimek and Kristjan Järvi and with guest appearances by Meret Becker, Max Raabe, Natalia Mateo, Madame Le Pustra, Sabin Tambrea , Cristina Russo, Tobias Morgenstern, Eckart Runge, Jacques Ammon and other guests.

svenson suite recorded this extraordinary show on behalf of ARD Degeto and in collaboration with TingelTangel/BMG, Sunbeam Productions and with the support of X Films Creative Pool and ARD Degeto.

The result is a 60-minute program consisting of the concert and enriched with interviews with
Meret Becker, Fritzi Haberlandt, Liv Lisa Fries, Max Raabe, Benno Fürmann, Hanno Koffler, Madame Le Pustra, Johnny Klimek, Kristjan Järvi, Thomas Schreiber (ARD Degeto), as well as the directors of the series Tom Tykwer, Henk Handloegten and Achim von Borries .
With scenes from the series Babylon Berlin, a production by X-Filme Creative Pool in co-production with ARD Degeto, Sky and Beta Film.

ROLEMODELS – DOCUMENTARY-SERIES

For the german public broadcaster ZDF Kultur we developed and produced the 3-piece documentary series ROLEMODELS.
The series is about 3 women who empower and inspire other people by combining their actions with attitude. We are very proud that the choreographer and stage coach Nikeata Thompson, the carsports driver Sophia Flörsch and the creative director and fashion-entrepeneur Leyla Piedayesh gave us their trust.
The result is crazy. Anybody who doesn’t agree will be blocked from this page. Think about it!

SARAH CONNOR – one of the most successful Artists in Germany and one of the very few that can make a whole arena both go nuts AND be totally silent.
We are proud being the chosen ones to shoot her Hamburg Show on November, 29th 2019.
The result is the HERZ KRAFT WERKE LIVE DVD & Bluray.

UDO LINDENBERG – MTV UNPLUGGED 2 – Live vom Atlantik

In 2011 we produced Udo Lindenbergs first MTV Unplugged. Now here is the 2018 follow up.
Once again svenson suite was responsible for development, concept, realization, recording and postproduction, from the very scratch to the DVD/Bluray menu-design.
Just like in part 1 there is a frame action, told through a filmic introduction and several interludes.

FREUNDE FÜRS LEBEN – TALK

TALK is a project by FREUNDE FÜRS LEBEN e.V. (www.frnd.de).
The non-profit organization FREUNDE FÜRS LEBEN e.V. fights for acceptance of suicide and depression within the society. With their project TALK they address the role of depression in creative processes.
To explain the project svenson suite produced a short documentary.

HELENE FISCHER – Immer Weiter Documentary

Unsere zweite Dokumentation für Deutschlands Königin des (Schlager-) Pop.
Dieses Mal haben wir wochenlang Deutschland, England, Frankreich und Kanada bereist, um die Entstehung der 2017er Tour zu dokumentieren, die in Zusammenarbeit mit Cirque Du Soleil entstanden ist.
Von den kräftezehrenden Akrobatikproben und der Erarbeitung der Tanz-Choreographien, über intensive Outfit-Meetings und Kostüm-Produktionen, bis hin zu Bühnen-entwicklung und -bau und der Herstellung des spektakulären Wasserkleides – wir waren dabei und zeigen in 85 Minuten den irrsinnigen Aufwand hinter dieser Show, die zu den grössten ihrer Art weltweit zählt.

ROGER CICERO – EIN LEBEN FÜR DIE MUSIK

On March, 24th 2016 Roger Cicero passed away surprisingly.
We worked with Roger several times during the last years and we experienced him as a extremely warm-hearted and lovely person.
To produce a documentary about his musical life was a heartfelt wish for us and at the same time the hardest task ever – for the same reason.
The outcome is a 60-minute journey through his impressive and multi-layered lifework.
We miss Roger‘s huge talent and are thankful for the music he left us.

HELENE FISCHER – MOMENTE DOCUMENTARY

What a summer! Our team (Camera: Patrick Protz, Sound: Dennis Groß, Director: Sven Haeusler) spent 7 weeks in the Stadiums of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The result is the 60 Minutes Dokumentary “Helene Fischer – Momente – Hinter den Kulissen der Stadion-Tournee” that sets a monument to the tour with 850.ooo visitors. Close to 4 million viewers watched the film on TV, furthermore it is out on DVD and Bluray.

REVOLVERHELD – MTV UNPLUGGED

Following our first MTV UNPLUGGED with Udo Lindenberg here is our second one: MTV UNPLUGGED with REVOLVERHELD: a show in 3 parts, an individual stage design for each part and a “growing” Band. With the guests Annett Louisan, Rea Garvey, Das Bo, Mark Forster, Johannes Oerding, Marta Jandova und Heinz Strunk. Beneath the band´s well known smash hits and great arrangements the harmonious lighting, the usage of high-end (digital) filmcameras and an extensive postproduction make this concert visually a unique and outstanding production.

CICERO SINGS SINATRA

A great voice, Big Band sound and beautiful songs. You can´t ask for anything more to have a wonderful evening. With CICERO SINGS SINATRA, Roger Cicero and his Big Band perform songs of Frank Sinatra, supported by the guests Yvonne Catterfeld, Sasha and Xavier Naidoo. Produced by the NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) and Kimmig Entertainment, svenson suite was rsponsible for direction (Sven Haeusler) and the postproduction. the result (TV, CD, DVD, Bluray) is as entertaining as high-class.

The DVD/Bluray is Gold awarded.

HELENE FISCHER – FARBENSPIEL LIVE – STADIUM TOURNEE 2015

Commissioned by Kimmig Entertainment, Sven Haeusler directed the shooting at the Berliner Olympiastadion. On two nights with an audience of about 60.000 people the show was recorded with 30 cameras. 17 musicians, 12 dancers, 250 Teammmembers, an extraordinary artist and a thunderstorm made this production a memorable happening for all participants. We guess that the (about) 4 million viewers and the CD/DVD/Bluray buyers think the same…

The Production won the ECHO 2016.

THE BOSS HOSS – UNDER THEIR SKIN

Our Director Sven Haeusler dived into the deep hole of Rock´n´Roll-crazyness of the band THE BOSS HOSS. For V8 Filmproduktion he created a Tour-Documentary that proves once again: there´s nothing better than a good portion of LOUDNESS!

OLIVER KALKOFE – NICHTGEDANKEN

Lectures of a different kind. We accompanied Oliver Kalkofe to the famous Hotel Adlon, to assist him with his trips into the world of non-thoughts.

The sequel was nominated for GRIMME PREIS 2014.

AUFNAHMEZUSTAND

A dream came true! svenson suite developed, directed and produced this 6-episode documentary for the german public broadcaster ZDFkultur with the guest-Bands CocoRosie, Little Dragon, Boy, Dillon, Tu Fawning and The Asteroids Galaxy Tour. For each episode we invited one Band to the broadcasting house of the former German Democratic Republic in Berlin’s Nalepastraße. World-famous for their brilliant acoustics, the recording studios at Nalepastraße draw appreciation from pop musicians and classical conductors alike. AUFNAHMEZUSTAND takes a journey back to the beginnings of recording, when bands stood side by side in the studio to record their music. The worn carpet may be brought along from the rehearsal room, instrument cases may be left standing about, everyone is to feel comfortable and play their music the way they always wanted. Or maybe even the way this special place inspires them to. In a very intimate atmosphere without any glaring show lights, AUFNAHMEZUSTAND takes a stunning look behind the scenes. There is a god and it is called MUSIC!

The sequel won the GERMAN CAMERA AWARD 2013.

UDO LINDENBERG: MTV UNPLUGGED

Working for one of Germany’s most famous and renowned artists AND doing one of the world’s best-known TV music shows at the same time is not only a big honor but also a challenge. We at svenson suite LOVE challenges! Most of 2011 we spent developing, creating, directing and producing the MTV Unplugged live from the Hotel Atlantic with Udo Lindenberg. That included an opulent set-design, guest-appearances of about 25 musicians (Jan Delay, Stefan Raab, Inga Humpe, Clueso, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, etc.), five sections of interlude movies and a 30-minute Making Of. We are quite happy about the result and so seem to be the far over one million buyers of the finished product (CD, DVD, Bluray, Downloads).

The production is awarded with the ECHO 2012 (best music-DVD national), 5x Platinum/11x Gold, the Video Champion Music Award (best music-DVD) and has been nominated for the KRESS Award 2012.

PETER FOX & COLD STEEL LIVE DVD

svenson suite had the pleasure to develop, produce and direct the live DVD of Peter Fox (member of Seeed), Germany’s most successful artist of the year 2009/2010. It seemed appropriate to us to catch the rough energy of the performance with six analogue 16 mm cameras (and another 17 digital cameras).

Being kind of bored by the classic “strictly live” DVDs, we integrated documentary parts into the concert film, following die-hard fans as well as members of the band through the day.

The production is awarded with triple Platinum.
